Dear Sally and Nora: You probably don't remember me, but I grew up with parents who were extremely close to your grandparents. My Mom and Dad were Helen and Hal Moody and my name is Kathleen Moody Maurer. I was born about 16 years after your Mom and enjoyed a wonderful childhood in rural Camarillo. Most weekends were spent with Dora and Reg at The Ranch. There were barbeques and poker games and lots of laughter. Your Mom and you Aunt were a very large part of my growing up years. We lost contact as the years went by but I still have the letter your Mom wrote me when my Mom died in 1974. I remember the last time I saw your grandparents--they had moved to the house in the Somis foothills and my Mom and I went to visit. I still think of them often and remember their trips to Montana. To me, that was another part of the world. Now, we have a house in northwestern Montana and on each visit I think of the Newmans.
